The moment a vampire in Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver steps into the cold sunlight and realizes he doesn't burn. In Soul Reaver, fledglings were still susceptible to sunlight while fully evolved vamps could stand in the sunlight filtered through the great plumes of smoke Kain used to block the sun.
